Welcome to our In-house School Catering.
Catering at Etching Hill Primary School is managed in-house to enable us to work more positively with our own pupils and families to develop the healthiest, tastiest and best value meals possible for all of our children. We want to offer our parents fantastic value for money with our school lunches and at £2.10, we believe we deliver this every day.
Free School Meals 2018
Your child will be entitled to a free school meal during their time in Key Stage 1 (that is in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 classes). This entitlement is not dependent upon any other circumstances, ALL children within the UK are automatically entitled to their free meals. As a school, we very much hope that you will see this as an opportunity for your child to receive a healthy and tasty meal to be eaten with their peers during lunchtime in school. Many parents worry that their child is too ‘picky’ for a hot school lunch but we tend to find that by eating with friends and seeing others trying new tastes and options, that this greatly improves a child’s eating choices very quickly.
It is very important to the school that even though your child will automatically be entitled to their meals from September, that if you are in receipt of any benefits or tax credits, that you do still apply though the traditional method as well. By registering in this way, the school will receive additional funding to further impact school life. Please contact our school office should you require any further assistance with this process.

Etching Hill is a cash-free school. Parents pay for school lunches and trips via Parentpay, a secure, online payment website. Parents may also request a barcoded letter which will enable them to pay over the counter at any Paypoint station (such as Co-Operative and Spa).
New to ParentPay?
You have a secure online account, activated using a unique activation username and password which our school office provide for you; you will be prompted to change these and to keep them safe and secure as your Username and Password for future logins.
Please visit www.parentpay.com and activate your account via the Account login area on the home page of the site.
If you have two or more children in school, you only need to activate one account to create your ‘main account’ and then add your other children via the Add a child tab on your home page. ParentPay holds an electronic record of your payments to view at a later date. Once you have activated your account you can make online payments straight away.
